MELISSA JOHNS

I am a creative photograper specialising in the world of automobiles, finding details otherwise overlooked and displaying the incredible shapes and lines a moving vehicle can produce.

 

My main passion is motorsport, especially racing cars and motorbikes. The amazing speed, movement and atmosphere they posses is something I strive to emulate in my photographs.  I capture these notions in creative, sometimes abstract ways, making the most of natural light, colour and the landscape around my subjects.

 

I am influenced by painters of the Absract Expressionist movement due to their use of colour and movement and I apply these ideas to my photography, almost using a motorbike flashing through a landscape as paint on canvas.
